The Lichen of the Year 2015 in Armenia is Peltigera praetextata (Flörke ex Sommerf.) Zopf. 2015թ. մայիսի 22-ին, Տարվա կենսաբազմազանությունը հանրային արշավի շրջանակներում, Peltigera praetextata առցանց հանրային քվեարկության միջոցով որոշվեց տարվա քարաքոսը: Ավելի քան 200 հոգի մասնակցել է քվեարկությանը: Ramalina farinacea, Flavoparmelia caperata and Peltigera praetextata.
The United Nations has proclaimed May 22 The International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB). The “Biodiversity of the Year 2015″ public campaign is aimed to raise public awareness on biodiversity conservation in Armenia. The campaign was organized by Young Biologists Association NGO in cooperation with Yerevan State University and supported by The Rufford Foundation.
