On 17 of July 2015, the Young Biologists Association NGO organized public speaking and discussion on theme “The Epiphytic Lichens proposed for the Red Book of RA”. Arsen Gasparyan has presented the epiphytic lichen diversity of Armenia, ongoing research projects and the species proposed for addition to the Red Book of Republic of Armenia. The participants discussed suggested conservation status and other aspects.
The public speaking and discussion have been organized in the framework of the project “Assessment of Several Epiphytic Lichens Conservation Status and Development of the National Red List for Armenia” supported by The Mohamed Bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund.
